I was a small child lost

So sad, so alone

I was looking, pleading

Yearning for love

After years of searching in the dark

A miracle occurred

From the black starry sky

It shimmered and fell

A gift from God

To guide me through

A shining light

A single, solitary

I stretched my arms to the sky

Into my shivering, anxious

God-given hands
